Good Energy cuts prices, floats outsourced Fits idea, eyes time of use tariffs for demand side trading

Good Energy made the announcement as trading of its ordinary shares started this morning on the AIM. In a statement Good Energy said it now administered the feed in tariff (Fit) scheme for 40,000 generators. The firm said it would continue to provide services directly to generators “and potentially on an outsourced basis to utilities”.

Good Energy said it was also looking at load shifting and local tariffs ahead of potential demand side trading opportunities.

CEO Juliet Davenport said the firm expected a strong performance in 2012. “We are pleased to see progress across all key areas of the business with a combined annualised growth rate for gas and electricity customers of 18 per cent, resulting in over 75,000 gas, electric and generation customers,” she said.
