National Grid’s call for evidence to inform Electricity Market Reform delivery plan

The electricity systems operator will use the information submitted to shape the EMR delivery plan, including the Contracts for Difference (CfD) mechanism and the development of strike prices for renewables.

The call for evidence seeks information to: understand the difference in investment decisions under the Renewables Obligation and CfD; and review technology costs and deployment potential assumptions.

The call for evidence, which can be accessed via the National Grid website, will run for eight weeks and closes on Monday, December 3, 2012.

The analysis will be handed to the department of energy and climate change (Decc) in spring next year and will inform the draft EMR delivery plan which DECC will publish in the middle of 2013.
