New water retailers double market share

Reflecting on five years since the water retail market was opened up to competition, Ofwat has found switching and participation remains low while awareness has fluctuated. The share of the market held by new entrants to the sector has doubled but remains small compared to the number of customers held by incumbent suppliers.
