RO methodology fuelling mutualisation risk, says EDF MD
EDF Energy's managing director has called for fundamental reform of the way the Renewables Obligation (RO) is collected, on the back of this week's announcement of a £163 million shortfall in payments. In an interview with Utility Week, Philippe Commaret discussed a number of issues including the fact that the RO scheme methodology means it is more likely that suppliers miss payments and leave costs for the rest of the sector to pick up.
