SSE Water has sought two new inset appointments in London.
The company wants to supply water and sewerage services at Tideway Wharf in Battersea, and Marine Wharf in Deptford, taking the place of Thames Water.
SSE Water, a subsidiary of energy supplier SSE, already supplies water and sewerage services at 13 sites in southern England and Wales, and a fourteenth, at Brewery Square in Dorchester, is under consideration.
Inset appointments have to be approved by water industry regulator Ofwat.
